WELCOME!

Introducing the lovely Quinn "Kyleca Catcher in the Rye" 5 months

and his sister Violet
"Kyleca Sweet Child O' Mine"

'Kyleca' is home to Cath, Ken, Lyndsay and our beautiful family of bearded collies, not forgetting our honorary beardie 'Winston' a British shorthair cat and of course how could we forget 'Phoebe' Lyndsay's lhasa who thinks she's a beardie too!

We all fell in love with this beautiful breed over 14 years ago when I decided to move on from my beloved horses - the ground seemed an awful lot further away as I matured in years!

I had always owned dogs from being very young and my first show dog was Ross, a blue roan cocker spaniel, Hallain Star Crown (out of Deneborne Delightful and by Bitcon Romeo). In the 1980s I took a big interest in gundogs and thought my heart would follow these breeds, I still take an avid interest in cockers, english springers and golden retrievers and enjoy judging goldens when I am able to do so.

After getting married in 1986 and the arrival of our daughter Lyndsay in 1989, I was desperate to get back to my equine life. I spent the next few years breaking/schooling some youngsters and successfully competed at county level with a beautiful part-bred arab Lady Shar Bella (who spookily enough now lives just around the corner from the Burscoughs (Kilfinan Bearded Collies)) -what a small world! Lyndsay successfully competed with her Welsh Section 'A' Brierdene Rosebud in first-ridden and turnout competitions, of which we both have lots of very happy memories.

In 1997 we started searching for our first bearded collie. Sasha, Willowmead Spring Serenade at Kyleca, joined us from Suzanne Moorhouse and she was followed 2 years later by my beautiful soulmate Gemma, Wellknowe Spring Breeze, who we owe so much, she is totally responsible for the beautiful dogs that we have today and she will never be forgotten xx

All our dogs are loved family members but we are very proud to have made up two champions in the breed, especially as one is home-bred, making it just a bit extra-special. We have also met some wonderful life-long friends through the beardies who have been there through the good times and been so supportive during the 'not-so-good ones'.

Please take the time to visit our site and meet our family of beautiful dogs.
